Customized for use by tourism operators, communities and destinations across Northern Ontario, TEN is designed to help you and your communities improve the quality of the product, enhance the visitor experience and contribute to a healthy bottom line. Ten Essentials of Successful Travel Products & Experiences

This checklist of 10 key factors measures the quality of the visitor experience. Take 20 minutes as a first step to make sure your operation is ‘on track’.

Visitor Appeal Assessment Tool

A more intense assessment (about 90 minutes) with 45 questions to assess your own operations through the eyes of a guest. Good to update annually to monitor progress.

Group Learning

To participate in these Group Learning Opportunities you must have completed the Ten Essentials and Visitor Appeal Assessment Tool and be recommended by a TEN Facilitator.

Experience Travel Training for Operators

This two-day workshop immerses participants in the ‘what’ and the ‘how ‘ of experiential travel. A limited number of workshops hosted annually by TEN.  Click here to view Experience Travel Training for Operators.

Best Practices Missions

Working trips of 3 to 5 days focused on one theme, these group trips provide a chance to experience and learn from ‘best in class’. Two or three Missions are planned and delivered annually by TEN to support product development priorities.  Click here to view Best Practices Missions.

Personalized Coaching

This one-on-one customized business improvement program builds on previous TEN tools.

Fast Track to Success

Includes a pre-visit survey, on-site visit by independent expert, recommendations that ‘can be implemented the next day’ and post-visit support.

To participate in these Group Learning Opportunities, Operators must be recommended by a TEN Facilitator.
